Job Description 

The primary responsibility of the Technical Service Specialist is to complete in-house repairs as scheduled by Service staff,

and complete appropriate service paperwork. Works with other staff to order parts as needed.

SPECIFIC/ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment failures as scheduled for Jacobsen and allied products
  • Responsible for reel grinding
  • Accrue billable labor hours through warranty and customer pay repairs
  • Completes service paperwork and reports as required in a timely manner
  • Responsible for outside field service when needed
  • Perform new equipment setups when needed
  • Ability to follow manufacturers written instructions for proper assembly of product.
  • Review schedule regularly for production assignments as prioritized by management
  • Responsible for completion of paperwork and reports associated with position, including documenting services
  • and condition of demo products
  • Perform to established methods and standards; meeting or exceeding the departments quality and productivity goals
  • Work with limited supervision
  • Communicate well with others and work in a manner to support a team environment.
  • Responsible for maintaining communication to appropriate management and support personnel concerning safety,
  • quality, and any issues as they arise
  • Perform other duties within the scope of job assignment as assigned by the management
  • Must perform duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by the Company, Local, State and
  • Federal provisions.
  • Responsible for documentation of weekly work activities through completion of weekly time reports
  • Responsible for maintaining  work space in a clean and professional fashion
  • Must provide own tools
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

 ·         Certified Mechanic preferred

·         Jacobsen Technician Certification preferred

 EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 – 3 years as Golf course or related industry technician preferred, including experience with hybrid and

electric repair

  • Comprehensive knowledge of machinery, tools and customer relations
  • Prior experience with providing technical support via phone fax, email or on-site preferred.
